Re: Link to Instrument panel LED, white face, and colored lense info?

Thanks for the links and info, I pulled it all apart, painted the light green "reflector" thing white with Fusion plastic paint, cleaned it all up, replaced the lamps with new 194s, put it back together and was impressed with the brightness just with that. Ordered some blue LEDs from superbright, took the HVAC apart and discovered the original lens is "stepped" to fit in the hole and make it flush with the outside, got confused on the plastics sites, finally just put it back together stock till I figure out what I want to do. I think I may get a piece of blue as thick as the thickest part of the stock lens, and thin it as needed with a file, that should take care of the HVAC. Discovered that LEDs don't always work correctly for turn signal indicator bulbe due to the lower current draw, and haven't yet figured out what to order, but that should be figured out soon. The other warning lamps etc should be fine with the stock 194s. Got the blue LEDs installed today, won't know much till it gets dark. Sorry no pics, no camera. I think I'm gonna hold off on the white face thing, I think I'll probably be happy with the stock IP with the enhanced lighting. Also took the odometer and trip odo apart and cleaned them up good, if they're as bright as I think they will be, I'll be happy. They wer really dingy. Losing my computer access in the morning, so it'll be a while before another update. Thanks a million, fellas..........................
