How wide of tire can i go with on a 16 stock gmc rim?
hey all i have a ? how wide of a tire can i go with on a 16 inch stock rim? and can any 1 tell me were i can get/find 50 series wheels and tires like on some 2 wheel drive chevys from the 80s and 90s with the 5 bolt pattern but instead with the 6 bolt bolt pattern?

Think I saw 305's on one, looked like way too narrow of a rim. not sure what you are asking for the second part.

ok and what i mean for the second part is that were can i find rims that can atleast fit 295/50/16 tires and were would i find aftermarket rims for that size without it being too narrow on my stock rims

How wide are your stock rims? My '02 silverado had 16x7 stock rims and it wasn't recommended to put anything wider than a 265 on them.

I agree P265/70/16 works great on stock 16x7. I ran P285/60/16 and they fit ok... but it wore down the center of the tire...
