suburban door striker
I was wondering if you can swap the rear door striker post thing for the front one. My front ones are wore out and passenger side door is hard to shut. I was wondering if i took one off the rear and put it on the front if that would be ok. Also what happens if you unscrew it all the way. They move around and i was wondering if the thing they screw into will fall down or what.

Re: suburban door striker
All the strikers for the side doors are the same. They screw in to a plate that is loosely held in place, but it should not fall. The plate has to have play for adjustment of the striker.

Re: suburban door striker
Mine are wore out at the end like someone took a file to them. Where the tip is is all flat.

Re: suburban door striker
my local NAPA stocks them for less than $10 each. Well worth the money. When I did my fronts the adjustment plate behind them fell and I had to remove the interior B pillar trim to retrive them, not a big deal, just more time consuming. The rears stayed in place.
