Minimum wheel size for mustang II drop spindles?

I am getting ready to buy wheels for my 52 chevy truck, trying to avoid returning them so I am looking for a few answers. I read somewhere that with the mustang 2 inch drop spindles you can only run 17" or larger wheels. I wanted to run 15" steel rims but not sure if I can or not. Also, what width and backspacing is everyone running on a mustang II? Thanks.

Re: Minimum wheel size for mustang II drop spindles?

Don't make a decision based only on my input, but I have 15x7 wheels, zero offset and MII dropped spindles, no clearance issues.
