...the truck i buy is out of town and i arrange to have the truck transported to me a few days later?

how can i be sure that the truck will actually be there when the semi rolls in to take it away?

Ask lots of questions about important details. Use your best judgment about the person you're dealing with and let it go if you get ANY kind of wrong feeling about the deal.

I sold a car this way and the buyer arranged to have it picked up. He barely asked me anything. I made sure I was available when he arranged the pickup. I only communicated him thru email. No issues on either end of my deal. I waited till I had all the money before I released the car.

I mailed the buyer the title. Something to think about there to make sure it gets to you.

I would get with a board member here in that area,to help you out, maybe even take it and put it on the transport for you, you could offer to slip some $ their way, most wont take it but it would be a nice gesture at the least.
