Rubber parts

I'm going to be replacing every piece of glass on my burb and was happy to see that all the rubber is available from LMC.....I'm just wondering if $300 for the pair of rear side window rubbers is the best price out there (anybody have another source?) I'm also looking for the four hinge pocket plugs that fill the rectangular pockets (not the round bolt plugs) for the barn doors I havent got.
I also found that Steele rubber products sells the rubber grommets that surround the upper hatch hinges...

Re: Rubber parts

I bought all of my new rubber and weather strip from GMC Pauls, one of the board supporting vendors. I think I paid about $150 for the two big side window rubbers. They fit well as did the barn door window rubbers. Had them installed this spring by a local glass guy for $80 total. I figured I would break one of the windows if I did it.

Re: Rubber parts

I suggest shopping around for the rubber parts on your burb with the board vendors, often times you will get a better deal.

The silver plastic plugs inside the cabin on the body are salvage parts, and I got the ones I needed from guys here on the board salvaging their burbs.

Re: Rubber parts

I got mine from tkorinek here on the board. I don't recall how much they were, but it might be worth a pm to him to find out as his prices are usually very reasonable.

Re: Rubber parts

If you scroll down from this link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showgroups.php to where it says gold vendors, these are people that pay to sell commercially here. It would be great if you used one of them. They help keep this place on the map.

I purchased all the rubber for my panel from vendors on the list.

Re: Rubber parts

Has anyone welded up the holes and slots that are not needed with a tailgate? Seems like this would be cleaner than the plugs.
