Wheel Center Cap Bolt

Is the bolt that holds the center cap on the wheel a special bolt? It looks like it is tapered.

Re: Wheel Center Cap Bolt

The original style bolts were a silver colored self tapping 5/16 nc bolt;they are easy to pick out as they also have a screwdriver slot in the head as well as a 1/2 inch hex head.

They were also supplied in the service replacement kits of 4 caps;these turn up on ebay often
