Where is my 60-66 Chevy or GMC vin number?

I see this question come up alot, so I thought I would do a post with pics on where to find your 60-66 chev/gmc vehicle identification number.

First up is the 60 t0 63 chev and gmc.
The vin is located on the LH drivers door pillar.

Next up is the 64-6
The vin is located on the LH driver door roof rail.
*** 64 gmc vins are located on the "b" pillar in the lh driver door frame***

On all 7 years you can also find the vin number on the left hand frame rail in front of the A arm.
There is also one stamped on the top of the LH frame rail under the cab,
these shots are from my 65 1/2 ton long box.
Notice how they only stamp the year, assembly plant, and the sequential serial # on the frame rail.
the under cab shot is from a 66 frame I have, I have hi-lited where the vin is stamped, it is about 12 inches in front of the left hand rear cab mount on top of the frame rail

According to the 6066gmcguy the panel and suburban vins are located on the Lh drivers door pillar, roof pillar, rear driver door pillar, or on the footwell by the GVW tag.
I have seen all 3 of the door pillar vin placements, but did not take pics.

Here are two of my '64 Chevy C10 cabs and both have the VIN on the underside of the driver side door jamb, roughly in the center of the door opening.
