Bar b que
I am having a BAR B QUE/meet n greet at my house on May 15, for the Austin and surrounding areas members.Plus try to get some work done on the engine swap in my Burb.I will be smoking a big brisket, hot links, hot dogs and who knows what else.I'll have some side dishes to go with the BBQ,but if you have a special side dish you make well, feel free to bring it.I will have Ice Cold Beer for those who are old enough and softs drinks for the kids and designated drivers. My house is on the waterfront of Lake Travis so bring some shorts if yall want to take a dip. While yall are enjoying some good food and refreshments,if you wouldn't mind picking up a wrench and lending a hand with getting my Burb on the road I would appreciate it.My goal is to have the Burb on the road for the Memorial Day weekend.I can handle most of the mechanical stuff no problem. Its all the wires that scare me.I'm wanting to use the motor and trans from my 95 GMC Vandura 3500 in the Burb. Its a TBI 350 with a 4L80E behind it.I would like to use the computer from the van to keep the fuel injection and control the trans. This is where I need the most help!!If anyone knows auto electrics very well or knows how to do this, please come help. All members and their families are more than welcome.
I will have a sign in sheet so I can keep track of what members I meet.I hope to see a lot of good people.eat some good.get some work done on the Burb and make some good friends in the process.I will be up early tending to the fire and working on the Burb so feel free to come early as well.Things will go till probly 4:30-5pm then I have to get ready to go to a concert.I will make another post with my address once I see how many may be coming. Please reply to the thread and let me know if your coming so I know how much drinks and stuff to get.See yall there |
