I just completed swaping to disc, and I did not go power assisted.
All parts I got were for a 74 with nonpower disc brakes.
Have not had a chance to get it out and test.
My 55 belair has disc on the front and no power booster due to the huge cam.
It has 4" wide tires on front and 16" wide on rear and it stops fine.
