Re: help please

Welcome to the forum 85c10tx. Sounds like fuel issues. Maybe someone else can offer advice that has a better understanding of Holley carbs.

Re: help please

Sounds to me like the mixture screws aren't out enough. Since it runs at high idle when you first start, your choke is working properly, but the carb doesn't have enough fuel supply going through it to keep the engine running under a load once it's warmed up.

Re: help please

Your carb could be partially plugged up internally. Did you check for any vacuum leaks. I had a problem with my edelbrock that idled high and when you put it in gear it would almost stall, and sometimes die when coasting to a stop sign. I had to rebuild the carb, and adjust the timing and fix a vaccum leak. It runs like a champ now. Good luck.

Re: help please

maybe check for vac leaks on your brakes/booster
thinking brakes would be on when shifting to drive?
I'm gona be checking mine cause my revs drop down quite a bit when applied
(but not stalling)600/700rpm
seems more so ,with getting warmer out now
