What are yall doing on the rear shackle bolt on the drivers side of suburbans??
Im going to install lowering shackles and know the bolt is a pain to remove

Buy a new bolt.
Cut the head off the old bolt with a sawzall.
Push the old bolt out the opposite direction.
Install new bolt in backwards from the original bolt.

AK_NUT, I had to fab my own rear shackles. The gas filler pipe gets in the way. That is why I had to make my shackles. I couldn't get the Burban as low as I wanted to so I went with the 4-Bar

Oh Yeah I cut the bolt head off and pulled it out.

Lou that sounds like the same issue the 2wd Blazers have. Do you have any pics to share of the shackles that you made?

I need to look at my pictures, I might have a shot of the shackels. I made stock ones longer because it didn't make sense to cut up the new Bell Tech ones I had. Here are some pictures of mine when I did the 4-bar I used some ladder bar brackets in front this way I didn't have to cut up the floor. The ones on the rear are 4-bar brackets

Yeah I was thinken bourunning parallel but I don't want the panhard bar I have the bushings and adjustibles to build my own link just didn't know about placement i have two link with panhard on it now that so
Rome else did and don't like it

You don't like what???? The 2-link arrangement or the Panhard bar?

The setup on my truck the welds aren't that great and the setup is just crappy I really don't care for two links or pan hard bars but if it was done rite I would run one

Gotcha.

I don't care for the 2-link arrangement using the OE leaf hangers & short bars on the 73-87's. The 6x-72 truck-arm 2-link is the way to go. The long Panhard bars work fine for their cost too vs the 'better' (and typically harder to install) Watts link.

Yeah it has the bars mounted to old leafspring hangers now alot of pinion angle movement sucks plus I'm Tryen to lay it out need pinion angle to stay about the same throughout the movement
