Re: fuel sending unit????
Well i mounted the tank back on the frame rail and still nothing. So i again checked the fuel pump rod and it is jammed up some how. It will come out about .5 inch or less and that is it. i know that is engough for the fuel pump maybe or maybe not but i reconnected everything and still nothing would happen. So my grandpa called and sayed that he has a electric A/C delco pump from the mid eighties that he bought and never used. The pump is bad i like i just because it is old and you can tell its around the same era of the truck. So put the electric pump in and the truck is back on the road. But why would the rodded get jammed in the block and not come out?

Re: fuel sending unit????
did you try pumping the pump by hand while out?

Re: fuel sending unit????
Yes the pump has plenty pressure. Its weird that the rod will not come out of the block though
