Re: popped the diaphragm in oe 64power booster

I was thinking O'Reilly's had them listed on their website, the booster and master together, or just the booster. I don't know if it is actually the correct one though.

I would say this is the one you need. There is another one, but it says it is for a verticle mounting bracket.

Re: popped the diaphragm in oe 64power booster

if you have another booster the same diameter laying around just pop it apart and replace the diaphragm, i have done many and its really simple, no special tools needed, and dont worry about the spring inside it only has minimal pressure to return the pedal

hmmm, do they HAVE to be the same diameter to do this? I have an 85 booster that i nabbed with the dual cyilinder and stuff for front end conversion, but no where near ready for that - this sounds like my price range if doable!

If not Ill head Jims direction - the loaded booster (with cyimder) is cheaper than the one without?!?!?

thanks guys for input!

Re: popped the diaphragm in oe 64power booster

just thought id update - wasnt able to locate a rebuild kit anywhere as JimQ indicated - so I just grabbed the unloaded cardone version form oreilleys and will drink cheap beer for a week or so to offset the 100 bucks gone

it bolted right up no problem on firewall and m/c side

thanks as always guys!

Re: popped the diaphragm in oe 64power booster

i used to get them from a local re-builder but he has since retired and closed his shop after 40+ years,he still lives on the property so let me see if i can drop in on him and get some info on where to get these parts
