steering wheel ?
Does this wheel fit our trucks, is it the same as the deluxe wheel? Looks just like it! Has anyone tried it?

Re: steering wheel ?
I'm quite certain it will bolt right on. Just about anything GM from 1957-1967 will interchange except for some Cadillac wheels or extreme dish Pontiac/Oldsmobile wheels. You may or may not need to swap some parts for the turn signal cancelling mechanism.

Re: steering wheel ?
This is the DELUXE WHEEL that Chevy put on the 60-64 trucks (maybe 65 too). The 66 truck deluxe wheel was different.
It is actually a 59/60 Chevy Bel Air car steering wheel. I bought one last November and restored it completely including horn ring and horn button. I had the honor of putting it on my newly restored cab interior today. Went on just fine. Looks beautiful!!!! They are getting harder and harder to find in good condition. |

Re: steering wheel ?
Damn that looks great for the price. Too bad I spent way too much time and effort in the planning of my wheel. Still lots of work to do, but at least I know it will be the only one around

There is a great deal to be said for doing the work yourself. Instant gratification from getting something handed to you only goes so far!

Re: steering wheel ?
ON this topic, this guy is where I had my dash insert made. He started a side business of making custom designed steering wheels. If I ever hot rod my truck I have a V-6 wheel made up. Check out his designs.
