Re: wrecked 95 toyota ??

You need to see if it has a good title or not. If not, you need to call the DMV and an auto inspection place to see about getting it fixed. There are laws that need to be followed with getting a wrecked vehicle on the road if it does not have a good title.

Now for the tv episode, there was no frame damage at all. It was all cosmetic. That's an easy fix. You just need to bolt on new parts. Now I am not familiar with the new Toyota's, but you might have an issue with the IFS and you may need to pull some of the inner body structure. ect ect.

IMO I would stay away from a vehicle like this. I think that's a lot of money to buy first off, and then the amount of money you would have to dump into it would be high. (saying this because if you were doing the work yourself, you would have not posted the question)

As a young kid I made many mistakes too. I suspect you see a chance to get a nice vehicle for a little money. I assure you that while it works once in a while, more often than not you end up spending more money than it's worth. Usually you are money ahead buying a nice, solid, ready to drive vehicle than one that needs work.

That being said, post pictures of what you are looking at. We can probably give you some vehicle-specific pointers.

Re: wrecked 95 toyota ??

I have had a '86 Toyota 4-Runner since I bought it new. It is a tough little SUV. I do like Chevy's, but have found that the little 4-Runner has its uses.

We have had flooding here for the last 4 or 5 days, so both my brother and I decided to go with a square body 4X4. The water was way too deep for the 4-Runner.

Any truck with front-end damage will require a lot of looking at to make sure it is able to be fixed. There is a web-site for 4X4s called Yotatech.

Toyota 4X4 drives may be more expensive to fix than the good old Chevys/GMCs.

If its just sheet metal it won't be bad if the frame is bent then its gonna get pricey to fix it.I would just pass on it watch craigslist find you something you can drive now its cheaper.
