Interesting truck at auction today
Went to an estate auction just a mile from my house today, never knew this truck was even in town..must have been kept in the shop all the time as I
drive past this place often. 1972 Scott Bilt crew cab with 72,000 original miles..very solid truck, 402 with working AC

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
Very cool find Rob! But now my question is, " How much did you pay for it?"

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
I didnt get it Ryan..there was only one other bidder beside me and I dropped out and let him have it. I had been watching this guy and his young teen age son go over the truck..I'm pretty sure it was going to be the boys truck. I didnt want the truck for myself but was thinking of reselling it...I would much rather see someone get it that really wanted to do something with it. Truck sold for 4,500

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
Very true Rob. That doesn't seem like a bad price at all for the options and 4 doors.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
I think it was dirt cheap! this truck had rock solid floor pans and cab supports..the only rust I could find was in the front rockers and front fender cups..plus the driver fender was curled in.that was it body wise. The thing started and purred like a kitten! Even had brand new exhuast on it.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
It's unusual to see one of these in a trimmed truck. It must have been ordered to haul a camper, race car,or something like that.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
One of the few styles I have not owned and despite having moved on to older vehicles now I would have brought it home in a second! i think that was a very fair price for the condition and options also!

Wow, sweet truck. Good price, in my mind for a pretty rare vehicle.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
Truck was setup with a fifth wheel and a goose neck at one time, I figured the same thing..maybe a horse trailer, camper at some point in its life.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
I don't know how many miles i have traveled only to find stuff outside my door! That is a cool truck. Wasn't there a board member that had one of these around there? Crews or something was his name.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
That would be a sweet truck with a 6 cylinder in it.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
Nice looking truck! At least it looks like it was done right. I saw one in a junkyard this weekend that looked horrible.

Re: Interesting truck at auction today
I really think those would look cool if a guy just removed the wing window and squared the door there. It would require some work, but I think it would enhance the look a lot.
