What to do: regulator runs out of travel before fully up

I'm doing the Black Diesel vent window delete mod (which has been Great!) and now have everything finished and trying to adjust the regulator. The window rolls down fine with no issues but when I roll the window up, the window stops about 1" from the top. The regulator is out of travel but I can gently push the scissor arms up and the window goes right where it needs to be. I'm guessing the regulator is out of travel because the splines don't move at all when I push the window up. Is there something on the regulator arm that needs to be tightened or do I have bad regulators?

humm... Not seen that one, I'm guessing all your plastic rollers are good? Both doors do the same thing? Does it roll down an 1" past the bottom of the window opening? It should just go about 1/4" or less past before it hits the stop. You say you looked at the regulator and it is for sure out of travel, if so there shouldn't be enough slack to push it up an inch. My first thought is the wheel that rides in the track thats welded in the door. Keep use posted

When you push it up, watch and see where it is moving and go from there. Can you push it back down also?

Yes, from what I remember from last night, there is about an inch of travel I can push the window up or down and the splines on the regulator don't turn. I'm going to take it all apart again and see if I see any slack in the regulator. What did you mean by thinking the problem might be the track welded to the door? Yes, all the plastic rollers are good. I extended the other roller as you described in the video. I also enlarged the holes for more adjustment. The window still rubs a tiny in the front part of the frame so I'm going to work on that too.

oh, forgot to say, I haven't got to the other door yet so I don't know how it will behave.

Fixed it, works great! Not sure why but I took it all back apart and reinstalled it and it works perfect.

I would say that the roller in the door had missed the track first time. I'm glad you got it workin. What do you think it cost you to get all the stuff to do yours? It might help some of the guys that are on the fence on making there own kit or buying one.
