Who sells these?

I think these cargo hooks used to be common. Anybody out there know of a supplier for new ones? Been searching and can't find anything even close but I know that lots of people on here see lots of things, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Thanks

Jeff

Re: Who sells these?

It looks like it belongs on a marine application. You might try Bay Marine, Overton's, or any other large marine retailer. I hope this helps. Paul Baxter

Re: Who sells these?

I haven't seen those in a while. I have 6 on my '72 GMC that came on it. Mine had more plating and had just started to chip off. I scuffed them up and sprayed them with cast blast. That was 10 years ago and they don't look bad yet. If there's a place to get new ones I'd like to know, also.

I agree ^^^^^

how big around are they I have a bunch of them laying around that are pretty small but people use them to hold rubber bumpers on the side of there boats to stop them from rubbing on the docks....this way they can still put the cover on

Re: Who sells these?

I think these were not marine application and actually sold as cargo hooks for trucks. To use them as fender hooks would require gunnel mounting and they are not strong enough to use as cleats for mooring. The only application for boats I can see would be tie downs for a cover.

Re: Who sells these?

The diameter is 3 1/4". Used to see them on older pickups but can't ever find them now when I want them. Teeitup had a 68-72 bedside at the swap meet in Lawrence over the weekend that looked like it had them at one time but they were gone, same size and screw pattern. I need to replace a broken one but would probably buy 6 new ones If I could find them.
Thanks

Jeff
