I need a good used power sterring box for my new 71 4x4. I live in northern California, the closer you are the better to save on shipping.

they can be spendy. the core charge on them are $75 alone. I got a rebuilt at NAPA for $150 using my AAA discount. Otherwise they run about $170.

I used like a 1978 4x4 power steering box and it worked fine. I'm not sure of the exact year that you can go up to, but I know the mid 70 boxes will work fine as long as it is a 4wd box.

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
