I have the same mirror bracket in my 72. Is there something rare about it?

Dubie
I honestly don't know if it's rare or not. I have that topic because I was wanting another board member to check the pictures out and he has a rare one so I let him know this is where he could check out my 67. Slammed67 Your truck is one of my favorites!

man that thing has not been gayed up at all!! nice to see an all original truck like that. From the pics the only rust I can see on it is surface, is that true?

Dubie, the 72 shouldn't have the mirror mounted like that at all, some body had added it to yours, or it is not an honest 72 cab.
The one in the pic is typical 67 - 68. Hard to find...but I don't know about rare...at least I hope not, i threw one away 2 years ago. |

dunno about elsewhere Gene ... but around here, you see almost as many Big Window 67's as you do Small Windows ... or it seems that way. That's why I ask because I didn't know if the Big Window was a rare thing elsewhere ...

Sorry for the confusion. I posted the topic as it is because its part of his board name and sent him a pm letting him know it was for him just to see some pics of my truck. I don't think mine is rare at all.
Hooter it does have some rust on the rockers. I need a new radiator support and inner fender. (Usual battery rust) Cab corners look good. From what I understand the more I get into restoring this truck the more I will get into the rust and where its hiding. I hope to get lucky though. We will see. Warbones

Seen this question about inside mirror brackets a few times... well I had a pick of the type in CST 67-68.
I do have one like this and the mirror has a day - night couple switches underneath. Havent seen many like it.

Dubie, to the best of my knowledge, all 72's came stock with the mirror glued to the inside of the windshield. If you have that mirror mount on a 72 it's probably not original.
