Coating in wheel wells?
What was the textured coating used originally in the wheel wells?
I want to recoat mine with something similar & textured like that. Want something that will clean up good to. Thought about using 3M Body Shutz, but we have it under our car & if it gets dirty you can about forget getting it clean again. Any ideas???

Re: Coating in wheel wells?
what about a textured coating on the frame and wheel wells ? was this used in the 70's to fight off against rust? was it put on by the owner? it almost looks like fiberglass matt.. i'm sure it is not.. anyone know what this stuff is? and will it be a problem in the future? looks to be like something applied to fight off rust like sprayed on as if you would spray on a fire retardent on steel beams... thanks

Re: Coating in wheel wells?
3M makes a spray-in rubberized undercoating. Comes in a rattle can. Probably not as durable as bedliner though.

Re: Coating in wheel wells?
I have always been told not to use undercoating b/c it will hold moisture, but I don't know if this is true?? I'm also leaning towards a spray in type bed liner, that seems a lot more durable.
