Sound Advice!
On my Blazer I was considering putting down some dyna mat or fatmat or some other sound deadening mat before I put in my carpet and interior. On a Blazer is it really worth it? They are noisy with the top on and they are noisy with the top off. I personally dont see any point. Can anyone chime in with the same or different opinion?

mine was w/o carpet from the factory and had rubber/ vinyl in the front and the top had never been been off until last summer. The only rust inside was under the mat. I would never put anything that would create a vapor barrier on the floor. The only thing i would put in is a good tough bed liner after properly prepping it.

I didnt put it in my jimmy and never put the top on and it gets really hot so I would but it in to help with the heat.

I was seriously considering fatmat in my Blazer as well once I finished my resto. I really don't want to put bedliner in since it took me forever to remove the previous bedliner before fixing the floors. I didn't think that fatmat held water like carpet, and therefore would not cause rust issues. Anyone have any other opinions on this? Good thread.
