You can use the '82 motor mounts and frame brackets, but you will need a spacer on top of the frame and drill two holes on each side. Just like the pics that 63MOUSE posted. If you were to locate a pair of the frame brackets from a '73-'87 C20, you wouldn't need the spacer on top of the frame.
The alternative would be to use a pair of the original 230/250 I6 and V8 motor mount brackets. I have a few sets if you decide to go that way.

I agree. Frame brackets are the same I6 and V8. The only difference is where they bolt to the frame.

what i did i have not replaced the crossmember yet , but di replace the towers and they are from a 78 c10 . was notch the fram rails and let the engine wigh the towers down and those top bolts went right in this is with a 454 thought . and on the bottom holes of the towers i belive we just redrilled them . and all lines up perfect and square . may have lowered the motor hight just a tad thought . i can get pics if need .

I went back and looked again and I see that they are very close to the right height for the frame. I think you could just trim the frame back about 1/2-3/4", drill new holes and you're done. You should probably check the center to center distance of the motor mounts, before you drill those holes. According to protrash64's build thread, that measurement should be aprox 16-3/4"

If you dont wont to remove your old X member your newer arms should bolt to it little easier that way
