1975 Chevy 3/4 Ton 8 Lug Wheels Question

I have a 1972 cheyenne 3/4 ton with the original split rims and I want to buy some regular 16 inch wheels to put on there. they need to be 16 inch, not 16.5
my question, what year model trucks had the 16 inch and which had the 16.5?
thanks

Re: 1975 Chevy 3/4 Ton 8 Lug Wheels Question

Not sure of your answer, but the previous owner of my '73 K20 said it originally had 16.5 steel wheels and he didn't like the oddball size so he put 16" wheels on it, which coincidentally are Ford wheels. They fit great. I know this doesn't answer your question, but at least it may give you other options. If I'm not mistaken, they look like they came off a van.

Re: 1975 Chevy 3/4 Ton 8 Lug Wheels Question

My 86 K30 SRW, has 16 in wheels, as does my 88 Suburban, as did my 82 K20. I had a set of F*rd wheels on for the winter, they were the grey one`s you see on vans all over. I think the F*rd wheels are 7 in wide, and I know my Chevy wheels are 6.5 in wide. Hope this helps.

Re: 1975 Chevy 3/4 Ton 8 Lug Wheels Question

My 75 3/4 ton 8 lug had 16.5 wheels on it, I replaced them with 16 inch 02 Express Van wheels...worked fine.
