to seal or not to seal.. cab opinions

so im getting the cab interior striped and repairing some screw holes and dents scrapes whatever...

so option one is to weld the seam
2 is to use seam sealer.. not sure how that would work.
3 leave it, it adds old school character

Kind of depends on what the theme is you have going. I left the holes in my cab, but I am doing the "old Hot Rod shop truck" build.

I wouldn't use seam sealer, might pop loose on down the road since there will not be much area for it to adhere to.

Unless you're a master at sheet metal welding and finishing, I think it would be very difficult to grind all the welding smooth without warping or gouging something. You could always used JB Weld, but for something that isn't very noticeable I wouldn't bother unless it's a show truck with a painted interior.

love that truck 2... not sure which way im going with this seam. im kinnda liking the old seams in her.. guess we will see when i prime it how far i want to go. Thanks for the input folks

Two part epoxy and sanded down smooth could hold and not be seen.
