How much does it weigh?
 About how much would a complete '70 short, stepside bed with a wooden floor weigh? Would it take four old grown men to lift it off? Mine is poorly mounted and I've decided to rewire the whole back end. I'll take anybody's educated guess. Thanks a bunch! Toby |

Me , my wife & a buddy of mine took it off & set it on a platform about 25 ' away . I'd say about 400 lbs.

2 people..that's all I ever have around when I'm moving mine lol Not hard to move. Since you're truck is nice though, I'd say 4 oldie's would be best as less chance to drop or scratch the paint.

Quality paint or not, I always hang a blanket inbetween the cab and the box. It is extremely easy and common for the box to slide forward and dent/scratch the cab. Just my .2cents.

if the sole reason is to rewire the back of the truck, then you are creating a lot more work by pulling the bed. There's not many wires back there, and you can do it in just a few hrs.

If all four of you pour your adult bevereges in glasses & set them in each corner of the bed while moving , they can be used as a leveling process

Took 4 people to take my long bed of with metal floor, and 1/4 inch steel on top of that.
