need help quick

I pulled my diff cover off now how do i see what gears i have ? Second how do i get the fluid back in there ? And how do i find out how big my carrier is ?

You will see the large ring gear on the left and the pinion gear that drives it. Count the teath on both and devide the the ring gear by the pinion. 41/11 would give you a 3.72. The filler plug is on the front of the housing and should have a square head plug.

Put nail polish or touch up paint on a tooth on the ring gear and some on the pinion. Start at this and count around until you see it again. Use a flashlight if you cant see these gears. The pulg he was talking about is usually a 3/8 ratchet, you can stick the ratchet directly into the plug and remove it this way. Good luck..

If you look carefully on the outside of the ring gear you will find the ratio stamped into the ring gear, e.g., 43:14, 43 teeth on the ring gear and 14 teeth on the pinion. Transtaltes to 3:07.
