Yours looks slightly different than mine...I think you have a newer cable. I attached pics of how my aduster clip looks, anyway, in case something jumps out at you. The first is of it closed, the second of it open. Again, I just have to push from underneath and it pops up enough for me to grab it and lift it.
  Dunno how much they changed it...maybe someone else here has a newer cable like yours.
