choppin the trailing arm crossmember?

over this past weekend i moved my bags over the axle to get some more drop. it looks great and all, but i started looking around under the truck and noticed the ta crosmember is on the ground...along with my gas tank. the trailing arms are hitting the frame now, which is what i setup the bags at. but, does anyone know how far the trailing arm crossmember would be holding up the truck? and if i should cut and flatten out the bottom...would it be worth it? right now im laying pretty low without having to move my tank and gas tank. so if i flatten out the crossmember, im gonna have to raise the gas tank and air tank..

Re: choppin the trailing arm crossmember?

This is how i did mine. I used a straight edge and just scribed it and cut. Then went in with flat plate and welded it up. I also did the exhaust holes at the same time.
