Showdown in P-Town !!!

A Classic Battle If you in the area, you may want to head to Pleasanton next weekend for the Goodguys show, and check out the Autocross. So far we are undefeated this year, but the H team (Hotchkis) is working hard to change that. They have totally re-worked their C-10 (now called the G-10) with an Ls motor and trans swap, drastic chassis mods, and some lightweight body panels, and more secret weapons, I'm sure. The G-10 will debut at this event, and it should be great competition. Ford vs. Chevy, Underdog vs. Big Dog ....Champion vs. Challenger. Who will prevail? As always, sign up on our facebook page, at No Limit Engineering to get live updates during the event.

Re: Showdown in P-Town !!!

Rob – Thanks for the post! You've been raising the bar all year, and your full race pickup is really impressive. Project G-10 has been a full throttle thrash, particularly since it’s a customer car and therefore being built on a budget with some pretty serious time and money constraints. That said, we're really proud of it and can't wait to see how it does. It's still sporting our all new C10 Total Vehicle System, but a new ERod LS3 and 4L65 from GM Performance Parts will help wake things up and we've massaged the chassis a bit too. Pleasanton will be its maiden voyage and we're excited to see how it does. For photos and video, go to Facebook.com/Hotchkis1

It seems I must set the record straight. While I thank you for the compliments, I can do without the backhanded comments. Yes, we set the bar pretty high, thats what we set out to do. To PROVE that old pickups could handle. Thats the design of the Big-10 chassis. To call it a "Full race pickup" is a foolish ploy, and it's getting a bit old. So let me help you out with the facts.
It has a 420 hp, 9.4 to 1 crate motor, and it runs on pump gas. No turbo, blower, or N20. The trans is out of a '94 mustang, T-5. The body is all steel, no glass, or carbon fiber. It weighs 3380 lbs - without the driver. The nose weight is 56.8%, and the C.G. is higher than ANY other competitor. - thats just the nature of an F-100. It does NOT have a roll cage of any kind, just a brace for the seat belts. We run on 300 tw Goodrich KDW, not the sticky Nitto or Kumho. The handling performance comes from the chassis design. And we built it on an 'Off the shelf' chassis, so the ANYONE can duplicate this level of performance. No triple adjustable shocks or custom hand fabbed chassis bracing. Yes, I trailered to Pleasanton, (Tina likes to go to shows in our motorhome) and then Tina and I drove it to dinner friday and saturady night, in the rain. I drove it to the Truckin Throwdown (73 miles) in a.m. traffic on the 91 fwy, ran it all day in El-Toro, and then drove it home. That makes it way more 'streetable' than a lot of our competition.
So, thanks for the compliments, but no thanks for the comments that reduce the accomplishments of No Limit, our crew, and our products.
