A couple of newbie questions

Hi all

I'm new to Chev trucks & this site, I'm also in Australia & info is hard to come by here so I'm hoping someone can help.
My first query is re VIN & Chassis nos. I have read on here that they should correspond & where to find them & how to decode the VIN, but what about the chassis no. is there a resource for decoding it?
My VIN is CE14Z150826
Chassis is either I or 1 Z659612.

Secondly the park brake is missing the centre section, I have un under dash hand lever that has a front cable with a male threaded end, the cables from the rear brakes have on the LHS a male threaded end & the rhs a ball end only. There is nothing in between & I haven't so far been able to find a diagram of the set up to see what's missing. Can someone post a photo or diagram or any other info so I can get the bits to get the park brake operational?

These issues need to be sorted out before our transport authority will allow registration.

Thanks for any help
Cheers
