Re: what is it
click "go advanced" below your post. click "manage attachments". "browse" to find the pic on your computer. "upload" to load it. "close window". then "preview to see what it looks like. If its too big the site automatically downsizes it.

Re: what is it
yes, it's a 54 3100. 55 1st series is identical except it has the different 55.1 only hood side emblem and an open diff. I'm guessing (not a stretch) that the hood emblem and grille on this baby are original - grille narrows it down to 54 or 55.1 and the hood emblem (with this grille) narrows it further to a 54 3100. Good eye.

Re: what is it
I am drooling over the stainless trim on this truck. It is super rough but it has some worth wild pieces on it. Did I mention the stainless?

Re: what is it
Sure it's worth fixing, the question is do you have the $$ it will take. You've got some rust issues. The cab corners will probably need replacing and that's just the start. I always consider these projects our "hobby" and time is not an issue. Have fun...

Re: what is it
it a 1954 or 1955 first series. look between the drivers side door hinges for the vin plate, if still has it. not sure how your state works but a title might be an issue, if it doesnt have a vin plate. looks like if you buy it. you will have to replace the bed floor, the front bed panel ,one if not both bed sides or it might be better to find another bed.then both lower cowl corner, both inner kick panels, both cab corners.since its been sitting outside for a while take a look at the cab floor it more then likely rust through.the driver fender is unfixable.i am not shooting it down, tons of people do repairs like this every day on this site.i have done it.just be aware it will probable cost you around $500 or more in sheet metal to make the cab solid and that doesnt include what i cant see and the the bed.unless you have good fab skills.make sure to take that into account if you buy it.check out lmc.com they have all your replacement parts you need.
