The Suburban wins the milage battle!!!

Before any of you jump on me for the title, hear me out...My wife 2 months wanted a mini-van....I went hell no!!!....I have finally won. In a age to where all I hear is "how can you afford to drive that" comment every time I drive my Suburban, I laugh at that same person loading his Caravan with 4 teenagers and 2 toddlers in carseats while his luggage rack is packed with cargo and the back of the mini-van sags 3 inches. Then I think how that guy is going to have to turn the AC off and the heater on in the middle of the desert for big climbs in 100 plus weather(Baker CA). I ask myself....worth the savings in gas? For me, NO! Not only will I load up the wagon and not be effected, I won't have people jammed like a sardine. Space is more than worth it. Liken your Suburban or Tahoe as to 1st class on a airjet. Space is so freak'n awesome. Then take the overall size inside. Look at how much space you take with you per mile. Go by square feet inside and mileage wise, the Burb easily wins. Now we only use it for family trips and family outings. But...I sure like the space and comfort along with power and safety. Think twice about that mini-van. I also hear they are hell to work on and expensive.
Mileage is tempting, but they also have the drawbacks. Happy fuel burning everyone!!!
