th350 to sm465 trans

I have a 71 K20 with the th350 trans and I am going to put the sm465 4 speed in it. Will I need a different crossmember or anything else chassis wise to make the swap?

Same crossmember because it bolts to the adapter. Might have to move crossmember fwd or back. If so may have driveshafts to shorten or lengthen. Need z-bar and bracket on frame. Your hump cover holes may need to be changed. I just replaced 3 speed/rockwell setup with 4-speed/205 in my 68 panel. had to move crossmember back 2 1/2 inches. Good luck........Rick
