Here's what I found at http://www.nastyz28.com/sbchevy/sblock.html

13R482884

This is the Partial VIN Code ID. 1 Stands for Chevrolet, 3 is for 1973, R is where the original vehicle was produced, in this case Arlington. The last 6 numbers are from the original vehicle's VIN#.

T0703CKJ

T is where the engine itself was cast, this was was at the Tonawanda plant. 0703 is the casting date, July 3rd. CKJ is the option code for this engine, which states that it is a 1973 350 4 bolt main that originally came with a turbohydramatic trans, and was installed in any of the following vehicles (under comments section and a little vague, so bear with me if I'm wrong) A B and F bodies, Bel Airs, and Kingswd?? (not sure on this last one).

Hope this helps!

Smile

The numbers that 68 c10 listed are not casting numbers. They are off the front pad of the engine and are stamped numbers.

Mortec lists casting numbers, the site listed by 72c10 is the site to go to for the stamped pad numbers.
