I respect that everyone likes their own type, and that's perfectly fine. The 50's chevys indeed were different front and rear wheel well shapes, but they're still similar and the flare of the fenders are the same; the lip that sticks out along the perimeter of the wheel well. You're right that if all trucks looked the same, it would be boring. There's no point in arguing this one. IMO, there's probably a very small crowd that would prefer scrapping their stock stepside bed and putting a 90's step in. Making your truck custom usually involves blending lines, making a smooth custom look, and it just doesn't flow with those wheelwells. If it were mine, I'd do something different.
