Re: Let see some wheel tubs

On my 57 I just needed about 1" more of clearance and I did not want to do the massive pro stree tubs. I found a late 40's Dodge truck in the wrecking yard and it had nice little 2" wide factory tubs. So I cut these and used them. They worked out nice.

Another option is to go to a trailer parts supply and buy a set of trailer fenders and use those as tubs.

Re: Let see some wheel tubs

I have a set of Dennis Carpenters universal wheel tubs for my '49. The tubs are around 2.5" wide and come in different diameters for different size wheels/tires. I will try to post some pics of them asap.

Re: Let see some wheel tubs

I'm going with the trailer fender set up. Norther Tool and Tractor Supply has the trailer fenders in stock. Plenty of sizes to choose from.

they were out of a later gm straight side with the wood floor. I narrowed them about 4".
You could also use a set from a 58-58 straight side as well.
