Re: help motor mount

You might want to take a look at this thread and see if it answers your question:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ht=motor+mount

The O'Reilly link isn't working correctly, so when you get there just type in 2282 and on the next page the item in the middle will be the motor mount that bolts to the engine.

Re: help motor mount

you can change to the earlier mount on the eng and it will bolt to the existing perch or get a later perch and install that and it will bolt up to that mount on the eng. there may be a difference in height though

Re: help motor mount

You need the mounts for the original small block perches 7-509BL $90 bucks for a good set from CPP, or for bout $40 bucks more you could switch to the CPP perches, here is a pic, excellent quality and use the mounts you have.

Re: help motor mount

The motor mount bracket on your engine is for the '73 and up motor mounts. Just remove that from your engine, and bolt on a set of motor mounts for a '63-'66 truck with a V8. They should be the number 2282 that Mark posted. You will also need a couple 7/16"-14 bolts about 1-1/4" long as well as a couple 7/16" flat washers. I'm not sure how easy those bolts and washers will be to find up in BC though
