Rad support cover park lamp problem

I have a problem with the very back of my park lamps touching the triangle cover pieces (rad support covers?) on top of the grill surround. I've got the park lamp housings as tight as I can get them, and I've tried two sets of support covers and the park lamps touch on both sets (I was thinking that one of my sets was bent).

They are just touching, but enough that it will chip the paint.

Any ideas on how to solve this besides beating in the housing?

Re: Rad support cover park lamp problem

When I had that problem, I had the parking light tubs on upside down. The wiring goes into the top of the tub, just a silly mistake on my part not paying attention to details.

Your Truck Would the rubber bushing pads in the front corners of the hood make a difference?

Re: Rad support cover park lamp problem

Is the hood adjusted too far back? I looked at your pics and it looks like it is real close to the fender extension.

Very nice truck by the way...

Re: Rad support cover park lamp problem

The front cushions are new so that wouldn't be a problem. The gap on the cab corners and the cowl grill look good.

I still have this set in primer as I didn't want to screw up fresh paint again. So maybe I'll 'completely' bolt the covers in and see if they hit then. I only had about 3 bolts holding them on.

Thanks for all the replies!
