clutch rod question

i have a 68 chevy that had a 250 but now has a 350 sb im running the 4pseed i wanted to know if i need to order a new push rod that gose from the bell crank to clutch arm? i have the old I6 one but it seems to be too long did the v8 have a shorter one? i will post pics tomorrow of what im dealing with

Moving to 67-72 board for a year specific answer. I do know that the V8 clutch rod has a bend to it and the I6 rod is just about straight.
