I am trying to change the turn signal cam in my 69 Chev, and cannot seem to figure out how the old one comes out! I have already popped out the two little metal connectors on the right side, and dont know how the thinnest one goes back in, but anyway, can't seem to get it out, and the direction for the new one sucKs! Please HELP!
Anyone with pictures also appreciated.

So, I'm assuming no one here has had to change the plastic cam? PLEASE help a fellow truck guy! Got to drive my truck to work, and now the column is all apart.

Thanks...................

I believe that there may be screw that comes in from the bottom, but it may just snap in.

I can look at a TS switch tonight and let you know if you still don't have it resolved.

I replaced mine a couple years ago, but I'm drawing a blank. I'll take a look after work this evening also.

There is a zink diecast pin that snaps into the cam from below and it aligns the cam/turn signal switch to the housing. The turn signal lever is fastened to the cam with a screw that threads into this pin. I assume that you have the lever off. With the lever off and the tin strips removed, you should be able to take a thin bladed screw driver and pry the cam away from the turn signal switch. The cam has a hex hole that fits over the diecast pin. I just dissassembled one and it came apart easily.
