What you think about these mirrors?
Just tossing around mirror ideas for now since i shaved up the stock holes. A friend from work was going to use these on his lowrider, but went with no mirrors. I will not be shaving the door handles, but am spraying them gloss black. So if i used these, they will be sprayed gloss black. the chrome would probably pop too much.
what you guys think?

Re: What you think about these mirrors?
If nobody liked them they would not make them. I myself do not have anything they would be fitting on. Painting them could prove difficult and may not hold up. I'd say if you like them who cares? Go for it.

Re: What you think about these mirrors?
Dude, come on. We drive in Rosenberg. You NEED mirrors there. I hate driving on Avenue H and I. I don't know how many times I've almost clipped someone because they were hanging out in my blind spot. Of course, that was in my dad's truck. People move out of the way when they hear my truck. It's kinda hard to miss the bright blue and white paint anyway.
Oh, BTW, if you're going to paint chrome, sandblast it first. That way the paint has something to adhere to. I did that with my valve covers. Once the paint was on, they turned out as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Re: What you think about these mirrors?
One thing about it, it's your truck & you are the only one that you have to please. I wouldn't use them, but if you like them, go for it.

Re: What you think about these mirrors?
Regaurdless of what others think its your truck and your opinion that matters as we dont have to live with your decisions.
That said I tend to not ever allow any one part to determine the appearance of my vehicles . I go for a theme more than just random good looking parts so if something fits the overall theme good if not . well it usualy sticks out like a sore thumb. Is this truck a low riding or frame scraper? if so i bet they look great! If its a hot rod or 4 wheeler or almost stock i bet they look like a chick with a fur coat and plaid golf pants. Thats my opinion. Again use your opinion thats the one that counts. |

Re: What you think about these mirrors?
Look more like chopper mirrors, boo boo on a pickup. They have that "I stuck my junk where I shouldn't have and look what happened to it" look. IMHO

i didnt think these mirrors were that far off from using, i think the only reason why these, or maybe any mirror, will not work is that im keeping the door handles. it just seems like there would be too much going on if i used them and didnt shave the handles... im goin for a clean smoot flow, which is why the emblems is coming off too. oh well, guess my brother can put them on him bike..
