Found a hood on EBay

Won it (only bidder) on Ebay Thursday night and picked it up Friday night. Seller said it'd been in the barn for 40+ years. It has some surface rust were someone had stripped the paint and one small nasty dent on the right front corner but over all I think it's worth the $100 I paid for it and the half a tank of gas it took to go get it.

Just surface rust

I have the brace that's missing in the photo

Only dent that I've found.

Might be starting to rust through just under the emblem. The other 2 hoods I own have gaping holes in this area.

No rust in the corners of the hood

That's great, and a good price too. In my area those early hoods and nearly impossible to find in any condition worth buying.

Nice Score!!! Like markeb01 said they are nearly impossible to find here too! I've always liked the eyebrows on those hoods!

I somehow found this a while back. It's an older ad, and across the lake from you, but it sure is a lot closer to you than me! Seems like a deal. . .

Nice find!

I just found one too for $100 with the same dent ( not as bad ) and another not so bad dent on top of the eyebrow.Same rust coming through in the center under the emblem too.

Is that one a 61 hood?
