Tail Light Questions?
I am working on a 66 c10 lwb that has round red lights under the factory brake lights, my question is this: should they be white/clear or is red correct? Second question when did back up lights become factory?

I have a 66 c10 lwb, mine are clear and far as i know they are stock, truck has been in the family since bought new.

I think all '66s had backup lights, but they were optional from (I wanna say) '64-'65. They came with white lenses, of course, not red.

Those round lights are reverse lights and were standard in '66 on fleetsides and stepsides(though the lens was different on a step).
became mandatory in the highway act of '68(which was passed sooner, but went into effect for that model yer) or something like that. GM just decided to go ahead and start adding them ahead of the rule change I think. -W |

so, should there be one on both sides or just the drivers side? Looks like my bed only has a hole on the drivers side.
