i have a 2 wheel drive truck that i want to lift about 2 inches whether it be suspension or body, it does not matter. would i be able to just put some larger springs in it or would i have to do something else, i know i should be able to put larger spring in the rear without much problem but what about the front.

Being that it is 2 wheel drive it will have coil springs up front and to my knowledge there is no such thing as 2" raised coil springs for the front.
A 2" body lift should do the trick and is relatively easy. You will run into a few problems such as bumper height, tranny linkage, steering arm, etc. These are all problems that can be solved with a little bit of modification.

If you have a SBC in it, you can use BB springs for a 1 1/2 " lift. Anything over 2" and your at the limit of the upper ball joints. As for the rear, if your on coils and have a 2pc drive shaft, you can go about 2 to 3 inches but then you start to pull on the support bearing and it will pull out of the donut.

There are a couple of guys on CK5.com with lifted 2wd blazers. Most are later model ('76+). I don't know how they lifted them or what the differences there are in the suspension.

Do a search here, and you'll find how i did mine. I lost all of my info when my old computer hard drive went south.

I did a 2" suspension and 2" body lift. It enabled me to run 33:10/50 Big"O tires.I used 1964 or 65 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser 455 front springs. That engine, body/frame combination was helaciously heavy. I have used this spring on many G.M vehicles that I have wanted to raise in the last few decades. It'll get you right at 2", with our trucks and a smallblock. When I had the front end aligned, It was off 1" degree because of the lift. I ran the truck like that for about 8 to 10 years. on and off road. no problems and no noticable sign of premature tire wear.

I have leafs in the rear, I went down toi a sring shop and had them build me some, that would raise the rear 2".
