l these stock exhaust manifolds work? i have a 68 c10 with a 350 sb and a 4speed m/t behind it. my question is will these clear the z bar? i have a set of chrome block hugger headers but they wont work cuz the cross member is in the way. or do i need the ram horn style? to clear my zbar? im jst asking cuz im going to be trading these for a stock set of exhaust manifolds and dont want to trade for the wrong set. anyone have pics of the the 2 different exhaust manifolds on there trucks clearing the zbar? i just wanna get an idea. thanx guys. here are pics of the ones i want to trade for but not sure if they will work

The ones in the second post (Ramhorns)are what came on these trucks from the factory. The ones in the first pic are 1973 and later.

Re: need help with exhaust maniflod types

i guess my problem belongs here... Just cracked (i think) driver side exhaust manifold.. not sure what causes that ? back pressure? Anyways.. i had a friend look at it and he said those manifolds were off a vette.. I need to be steered into the direction of quality manifolds compatible with the chevy 350.. thanks

Re: need help with exhaust maniflod types

The first set of manifolds in your pictures absolutely will not work. They hang too low and will hit the engine mount stands.

It's a common misnomer that these trucks have Vette manifolds. While they look the same, GM use ramhorn manifolds on millions of vehicles over the years.
