Gas tank relocation

when i bought my truck the gas tank had been relocated to under the bed and i was told the gas tank is from a seventys mustang. I want to put a fuel cell in instead because the tank is old and it looks like jb weld was used to mend holes in several spots and was wondering if anybody out there has already done something like this or plans on doing this and has any pointers or places to look for the parts. Thanks

Re: Gas tank relocation

most people use a blazer tank. just search: "blazer tank" or go to one of the excellent vendors, such as LMC or ECE or truckandcarshop.com and go to their blazer tank.

If you want a fuel cell, I think there's fuelcellguy (username), and you just get a custom one and fab it up.

lots of info around here, the search button is awesome.

Re: Gas tank relocation

I think someone used a 69 camaro tank too .. so the filler is out the back and not in the bed ...
