Kick panel vent question
On a factory air truck the passenger kick panel vent is operated via a vacuum canister. I have replaced my factory a/c unit with an aftermarket unit that no longer uses the vent for fresh air. I would like to convert the passenger vent to a pull handle arrangement like the driver side. I know trucks without factory air had pull handles on the passenger side too. My question is would I have to change the whole vent? Or can I remove the vacuum canister and spring and replace with a non-a/c style pull handle? Pics of non-a/c setups are appreciated as well. Just trying to figure out what all I need to change.

Re: Kick panel vent question
Sounds like a good plan, to me. If your aftermarket AC unit doesn't need fresh air in the same way that the OEM AC needed/used it, I don't know of any reason why you shouldn't use a Non-AC vent door. I've seen them in the Brother's catalogs.

Re: Kick panel vent question
Looks like if the door is the same all you need is the pull rod assembly. My 67 non a/c.

Re: Kick panel vent question
Sweet. That is what I was hoping. I don't wanna have to actually replace the door/seal. Just curious: is that the driver or passenger side? Are they the same?

I took a pic of the dr's side before I thought about it but looked over to the pass side. They are the same but side specific.
