Glad to hear the eventual fix is the least expensive.... ( Thank your lucky stars!)

I changed out my fairly new distributor cap /rotor due to failing.. It got burned to crap at the top-center between cap/rotor. It was an MSD!! I then noticed the MSD is now manufactured in the cheap factory.

Many times the problem search misses the newly installed part failing. ( like cracked ceramic on new sparkplugs)
